I started helping people with their mortgage needs in 2002. For over a decade, I left the mortgage industry to start an insurance and financial services agency. In May 2024, I sold my insurance agency to focus my efforts on explaining the options that people have with a reverse mortgage. There is a lot of mis-information out there about reverse mortgages.
After attending Moody Bible Institute, and graduating from Liberty University, I toured with Christian music artists, running sound and video in concerts. I moved to Colorado Springs, CO, in 1995, becoming the media director for Woodmen Valley Chapel, where I am still actively involved. My wife Allison and I have been married since 1997. We have three adult children, and four grandchildren.
So how did I end up going from insurance and financial services to Reverse Mortgages? In 2019 my parents called to say they were looking at a Reverse Mortgage. I had not heard good things about them, so I was concerned. One thing that I found out doing my research that in 2015 many guidelines were changed to protect the consumer. And I learned that this product could help so many people get access to their equity without selling their house. Not only did I tell my parents to proceed with getting a Reverse Mortgage, but I started to change my career path. That's how much I believe in this product. It is so much more than what I thought it was, and can help a lot of people.
